You know what’s one thing that especially grinds my gears? Short forms that aren’t really short forms. It’s bad enough that many “gangstaz” embrace the lack of vowels and some consonants when typing (”yo r u gnna cum wit us 2nite alrdy?! “) — moderate usage of “cutting down” is fine, but doing it to every word is just painful – but replacing letters with others and not really reducing the size of words is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY AND STUPID. Yep, I said it; it’s plain DUMB.
People who type things like “lyfe” and “chyll” instead of “life” and “chill” prove NUTHING [sic], other than the fact that they can’t spell properly. Lyk, wat iz gunna happen wen u need 2 git a job whurr proper tiping skillz r required?
Seriously, please just grow up and stop. It’s not gangster, and it’s not cool. It’s lame. Besides, unless you plan on stealing from the state (ie. welfare checks) and selling crack to little kids, you wouldn’t really want to be a tru G, anyway. Both of which don’t happen that much in Canada, so your best best would just be to mend up your cruelly distorted sense of English.
