Tip #37 On Evading Hwy. 407 Charges

Quick, tell me one thing that’s wrong with this picture:

Accord 1

No? Don’t notice anything odd? (If you did find something, props to you - you’ve got sharp eyes!)

Take another look. I’ve given you a big hint:

Accord 2

Yeah. That’s right. I didn’t doctor this picture one bit. It’s true, this smart guy decided to flip his license plate backwards. Why? I can think of two possible reasons:

  1. He’s a tool, and he wants his license plate to be the same colour as his car, like in advertisements (it’s true, they do that).
  2. He’s a tool, and he doesn’t want to get bills in the mail from your local, friendly, Spanish-owned Higway 407 ETR (thanks again, Mr. Mike Harris, for selling out). By the way, Hwy. 407 is the only toll-highway in Ontario, and our government doesn’t even get much money, if any, because a genius former Conservative premier sold it to foreigners for cash. Lots and lots of cash. But not nearly as much cash as we’d be making now if we kept the highway for ourselves. However, I will give 407 ETR one prop for donating $125,000 to York University, though I won’t get a shot at the $15,000 scholarship until I’m a grad student.

Anyway, let’s just assume for the sake of discussion that this guy chose to perform an action on his vehicle contrary to Ontarian road laws. Sure, he might save enough money to treat his family to Kelsey’s, but did he ever think about how deep into his wallet he’d be digging if a copper spotted him? I don’t think he did, either. I’d be even funnier if he was caught ON the 407!

And I even spotted him between a cop station and a provincial court. Seriously, some people are born with holes in their head. For our amusement. :D

What an idiot. In the US it is totally illegal to do this and since there are police everywhere, I can’t imagine that this driver would last long with out a hefty ticket.

I’m thinking if he wants to skirt the foolish toll he would have just splashed mud on his plate. Could it be that pranksters reversed the plate? I’m not saying I would ever do something like that, honest but others??

Okay, I would do something like that…to my own plate. I’m not on it a lot but when I am my rear bumper is very, very dirty. F tolls!

I doubt that it was an act of pranksters, the colour match and everything is too much of a coincidence. Plus, unless it was just pulled, you’d notice.
